From Domain Graph to Knowledge Graph

In this module, you will learn how to extend a domain graph to cover unstructured content, and how an ontology keeps a model consistent as it grows.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

• Explain what a lexical graph and an entity graph represent, and how each connects back to a domain graph
• Extend your own model with a lexical graph, an entity graph, or both, where your use case has unstructured content worth modeling this way
• Explain what an ontology is, recognize a type hierarchy, and judge when formalizing one is worth the effort
• Review your own model for reusable types and naming consistency, and refine it where there's a payoff
• Export your finished model and take it with you
