Semantic Search and the Knowledge Graph
- A keyword search finds text that contains the words you typed
- A semantic search finds text that means what you asked, in any words
- "Are any customers behind on paying us?" matches "past due" and "overdue", and no email says "behind on paying"
A keyword search finds text that contains the words you typed, or words close to them in spelling. If you search the emails for "behind on paying us", nothing comes back, because no email contains those words.
