Tenants and Discovery

In this module, you will discover where your instances will live and what can be created there. You will find the tenants your credential can access, read each tenant's menu of available instance configurations, and teach the CLI to remember your tenant so you never have to repeat it.

You will:

• List your tenants with tenant list — and learn why the console calls them Projects
• Retrieve a tenant's available instance configurations with tenant get and the right output format
• Filter and reshape large JSON output with jq, from quick lookups to spreadsheet-ready exports
• Use automation patterns that look up IDs by name and pre-flight check configurations in scripts
• Set your default tenant with config set default-tenant and learn exactly which commands consume it
